ABIPECS

 

The Brazilian Pork Industry and Exporter Association (ABIPECS) was established in 1998 from the merger of the national associations of pork producers and exporters. Their goal is the development and modernization of production and international trade activities of the Brazilian pork industry. ABIPECS' mission is to coordinate and defend the interests of producers and exporters of pork products and by-products. Activities include the support of research and handling problems faced by the association in both private and public levels. ABIPECS also works with competent authorities in all areas related to the production and trade of pork and its by-products.

ABIT

 

The Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association (ABIT) represents the integration of the Brazilian textile chain. Founded in the early 1960’s, ABIT sponsors companies in every segment of the textile industry, including cotton growing, man made fibers and filaments, spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, printing, clothing, home textiles and other made up articles. ABIT’s mission is to support the sustainable development of the Brazilian textile industry, representing its interests in any governmental and international organizations, as well as making the textile sector better known to the general public.
 

ABRAPA

 

The Brazilian Association of Cotton Producers, Abrapa, was created in 1999. Its mission is to guarantee and increase the profitability of the sector with strategic sustainability through political, social and economic actions, fostering production with social and environmental responsibility. Its objective is to keep Brazilian cotton growing competitive and highly recognized both domestically and in the international scenario. Abrapa has more than 1,000 members, representing 98% of the total area, 99% of the production and 100% of exports of cotton in Brazil. It is the legitimate representative of the country’s cotton producers, partnering with state associations, which share the same ethical principles.

BNDES

 

The Brazilian National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) is the largest development bank in the Americas. Its mission is to promote Brazil’s development by boosting the competitiveness of the Brazilian economy, while generating employment and prioritizing the reduction of social and regional inequalities. BNDES also seeks to increase trade through the financing of exports, and to strengthen the capital structure of private companies and the development of capital markets.
 

BRACELPA

 

The Brazilian Pulp and Paper Association (BRACELPA) represents the industries of this segment in Brazil and abroad. One of the major global players of this industry, Brazil stands out for its best environmental practices and most productive and sustainable forestry-base in the world, in addition to have 100% of its pulp and paper production originated from planted forests, renewable resources that contribute to fight global warming. BRACELPA's member companies account for the entirety of Brazil's pulp production and 80% of the country's paper production. These companies operate in 539 municipalities of Brazil's five geographical regions and employ over 690,000 direct and indirect workers. The association's area of service encompasses sectorial negotiations, economic policy, environmental issues, climate change, and recycling, among others. Brazil is the fourth pulp producer in the world and, in the paper segment, is ranked as the nineth producer. With its headquarters in the city of São Paulo and with an office in Brasília, BRACELPA has partnerships with the industry's state-level trade associations.

CBMM / Reference Metals

 

A subsidiary of Companhia Brasileira de Metalurgia e Mineração (CBMM), Reference Metals has been a supplier of niobium in the U.S. market for over 25 years. The products supplied by Reference Metals come from the world’s largest niobium mine in Araxá, Brazil. The mine, which contains the richest ore available with inexhaustible reserves, also was the first ever to receive ISO 14001 for its environmentally friendly process.

CITRUSBR

 

CitrusBR is the Brazilian Association of Citrus Exporters, founded in June 2009 by the biggest Brazilian producers and exporters of citrus juices and derivatives: Cutrale, Citrosuco-Fischer Group, Citrovita-Votorantim Group, and Louis Dreyfus Commodities. Its main objective is to defend the collective aims of citrus exporters in both the national and international extents by monitoring trade issues, combating trade barriers, acting in pursuit of institutional interests, supporting technical studies to find solutions and alternatives for sector-related problems, interacting with other agribusiness entities, promoting orange juice consumption and, most importantly, promoting the sector's image by disclosing updated, clear and reliable information.

 

CNI

 

The Brazilian National Confederation of Industry (CNI) was created in 1938. With twenty-seven Industry Federations in the states and Federal District and over a thousand associated employers unions and 196 thousand industrial establishments, CNI is the voice of the Brazilian Industry. A highly active organization with a mission to represent and protect the interests of the Brazilian manufacturing sector, fostering a constructive business environment and the competitive and sustainable development of Brazil. Through the regular publicizing of research and survey results, studies and indicators, CNI provides businessmen with supporting elements for decision making. The Confederation also constantly seeks to establish strategic partnerships with the intent os strengthening the industry and the country's sustainable growth.

Founded on May 31, 1963, the Brazil Steel Institute has the purpose of congregating and representing Brazilian steel companies, defending their interests and promoting their development. The Brazilian Sugarcane Industry Association (UNICA) represents the sugar cane, sugar and ethanol sector in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.
