The American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) is a not-for-profit, non-government organization, with approximately 5,400 members of small, medium and large-sized businesses. Headquarted in the City of São Paulo, AMCHAM is also present in the cities of Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Campinas, Curitiba, Goiânia, Porto Alegre, Recife, Ribeirão Preto and Uberlândia. AMCHAM's member companies are active in all sectors of the economy with a workforce of 1.6 million people. 80% of its members are Brazilian companies, 13% American, and the remainder from other nationalities. Founded in 1919, AMCHAM Brazil is the second largest American Chamber of Commerce in the world - the largest outside the United States. Its mission is to preserve the interests of its members by advocating public policies in Brazil and in the United States, fostering trade, investment, and corporate citizenship.

Brazilian Competitiveness Initiative


The Brazilian Competitiveness Initiative (MBC) is an NGO created in 2001 by Jorge Gerdau. It works to improve the competitiveness of private organizations and to promote the quality and productivity of public organizations, raising the quality of life of the Brazilian population. MBC carries out these tasks through management, innovation and benchmarking, having worked in projects in more than 10 Brazilian states, cities and the federal government, as well as various organizations, both at the national and international levels.

Institute for International Trade Negotiations


The Institute for International Trade Negotiations' mission is to understand the global dynamics of agribusiness, bioenergy and international trade through applied research, widening Brazil’s global economic integration. The main objectives are to analyze the dynamics of agricultural markets and policies from Brazil’s trade partners and their impact on the Brazilian economy; to offer technical support to policy makers, negotiators and representatives of the private sector helping them to build long-term strategies on trade liberalization and integration; to develop applied research and technical studies contributing to increase international trade and investments, mainly in the agri-food and the biofuels sectors; to engage in the formation of global research networks on emerging economies and biofuels; and to disseminate information and research on trade policy and agricultural trade through seminars designed to various types of audiences and capacity building for journalists.

Pontes


Pontes entre o Comércio e o Desenvolvimento Sustentável is edited by the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (ICTSD) in partnership with the Law School of Fundação Getúlio Vargas (DiretoGV) in São Paulo, Brazil. The main goal of Pontes is to analyze the regional (Latin American) and multilateral trade negotiations through a sustainable development perspective.

The broad vision of the Brazilian creation and capacity of achievement present in Objeto Brasil has already demonstrated its strength in various events. It has promoted numerous conventions, exhibitions, partnerships, trainings, publications, lectures and other actions in Brazil, Italy, France, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Japan, the United States and the Scandinavian countries. The latest project in partnership with the International Design Society of America (IDSA) is the Brazilian edition of the International Design Excellence Award (IDEA Award).
